ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL

MEET MONIQUE

Monique was, and still is, a talented florist. She was led to start painting after her diagnoses of Endometriosis. Previous to this she flourished in the world of wedding florals, owning and running her business Budding Moments. The crippling and unpredictable nature of her disease forced her to stop taking on weddings, but also made room in her creative space to begin painting again. It was from here where Monique Kaytlyn Art was formed.

Monique's work predominately centres around her love of nature, the beating heart of who Monique is. Her art inspired by nature, twisted by the desire for change and challenged by opinion. Some works speaking to a deep desire for change and action, others simply here to bring more beauty into the world.

Always Giving

I hold many organisations and charities close to my heart. That is why a portion of all sales are set aside and distributed to three causes  every 12 months. From supporting wildlife rescues, reforestation projects, humanity advocacy groups and endometriosis organisations such as Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Extrapelvic Not Rare and Amnesty.

WORDS FROM THE ARTIEST

I’m an abstract artist and nature lover, living and creating on Whadjuk Noongar land in the Perth Hills, Australia.

My background in floristry and horticulture come together on canvas to produce my work you see before you. This inspiration stemming from nature and its seductive, intelligent and evolutionary adaptations. Its thirst to survive, and its beauty in doing so.

I believe in the power of connecting with nature, whether it's through a hand crafted bouquet of flowers, the comfort of the suns warmth on your skin or getting your hands dirty in the garden. The pandemic brought this connection out in so many people with nurseries selling out of plants (here in Perth), as people turned to the garden for a sense of calm and stability.

My hope is to bring a sense of connection with nature into the home through my art. To my core I’m simply a plant and animal loving creator, hoping to reconnect people with the incredible world around them.

“Thank you so much Monique. I can't even describe how happy I was with all our flowers and button holes. They were all beautiful and more amazing then I could of ever imagined them!”
